Job Title: Savanna Cost Controller- Real Estate/Development/Construction

Reports To: Chief Accounting Officer

The Cost Controller will be a vital member of our financial team, with a primary focus on managing and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data related to our construction projects. This role requires a blend of expertise in project accounting, AIA Billings, and a comprehensive understanding of Procore software. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our financial objectives, managing project-related finances, and contributing to the year-end audit process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lead the project accounting division, ensuring adherence to company policies and compliance with financial regulations.

· Conduct regular reviews of project accounts and ledgers, rectifying any discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.

· Monitor and analyze project financials, including Profit and Loss reports, to ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.

· Manage AIA billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and revenue recognition for all projects.

· Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data, including Work in Progress (WIP) reporting.

· Oversee the entry and maintenance of project-related financial information ensuring data reliability and accuracy.

· Facilitate the year-end audit process by preparing financial statements and supporting documentation, and act as a liaison between the company and external auditors.

· Assist in developing and reviewing project budgets, implementing cost-saving strategies to optimize financial resources.

· Develop and maintain robust internal financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.

· Mentor and support junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of learning and professional development.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive financial management across projects.

Preferred Prerequisites:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA certification preferred or in progress.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the AIA billing process.

· Advanced proficiency in Procore

· Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
